Kilts Feed Kids!

Kilts Feed Kids is a campaign from Launch to raise awareness of food poverty and fundraise to help feed local children in Glasgow & Ayrshire.

The Kilt to Work Challenge started in 2020 and involved the team at Launch wearing Kilts EVERY WORKING DAY throughout 2020 in order to raise awareness and get people asking why!?

The reason is to help under-privileged and below-the-poverty-line families in Scotland by raising funds to provide hot and healthy meals for children. Launch are also encouraging others to get involved in either wearing their own kilt or a Launch Kilt to work for a day, a week, a month or throughout the year if brave enough.

With this challenge Launch Digital are proud to announce the registration of their new pink tartan. This unique tartan was designed in house by our Creative Director, Richard Longmuir. The design has been accepted and registered with The Scottish Register of Tartan as ‘Launch Pink’. The kilts are produced and tailored in partnership with Slanj Kilts in Glasgow where they can be bought with all profits going to the charity for providing meals for kids.

The team at Launch Digital also aim to use the kilts in various charitable events to help raise awareness and funds for feeding children in Ayrshire and Glasgow. Launch Digital work closely with Launch Foods, a registered charity who use surplus food from large companies to provide warm, nutritious meals to children in primary schools across Glasgow and Unity Grill in Ayr a Social Restaurant where 100% of profits are used to challenge food poverty.

The campaign received a nomination at the Scottish Design Awards in the Design for Good category.
